114 Report on show, Keith's Theatre, Providence, R. I. [Rhode Island], Week of December 9, 1907. Mons. Herbert. Musical dining table. Best I can say for this is that it does no harm opening a continuous show. 10 Min. in 3, 3 Shows. Lowell Drew. This fellow is very clever and in time I think he will be heard of. His imitations as a whole - I think - are pretty good, that of Geo. Evans particularly so. 10 Min. in 1, 3 Shows. Cowan & Bancroft. Roller skates. Good act for the 3-a-day section or to open the show in the smaller 2-a-day houses. Went very well indeed in this spot. 13 Min. Full Stage, 3 Shows. Bradfords. Colored singing and dancing team, man and woman. Good lively little act. All right if not depended upon for too much. 13 Min. in 1, 3 Shows. Franklyn & Kean. This is a very good comedy sketch founded upon the trial marriage idea, and very well played by Miss Franklyn and Mr. Kean. Could stand a much better place than I am able ti [to] give them this week 18 Min. Full Stage, 2 Shows. Henry D. Gardner. Songs and stories. This man has a good personality, good voice, good stories, and good songs, and in a small way made quite a hit. Very valuable act for an early spot in the 2-a-day section. 17 Min. in 1, 2 hows. Kartelli. An excellent wire performer whose work has been described before and who did as well here as he has done in other cities. 10 Min. Full Stage, 2 sShows. Aurie Dagwell. Singing the old songs. Miss Dagwell went pretty well, principally because old songs always go, but her voice is not as good as it used to be. 12 Min. in 1, 2 Shows. Howard Truesdell & Co. In "Two Men And A Bottle". This sketch repeated first rate, but I think we have had it enough now. 21 Min. Full Stage, 2 Shows. Work & Ower. Comedy acrobatic act. One of the best we ever played and it made an unqualified hit. Rice & Prevost are going to have a hard time following this act next week. 8 min. in 1, 2 Shows. Ed Reynard. Mr. Reynard comes this season with a lot of fresh material and scored his usual success. This is one of the acts that is always welcome from season to season. 20 Min. Full Stage, 2 Shows. Ancilloti and his Mind Ready Dog Pilu. This is something of a novelty and the man causes a number of laughs by his peculiar manner, but it didn't reach as strongly as I expected. it would. 10 Min. in 1, 2 Shows. Pianophiends. This is a very pretentious and showy act and made good thoroughly, in fact, made quite a hit. 19 Min. Full Stage, 2 Shows. Wilson Bros. One "straight" the other "Dutch", comedy. They scored very well indeed, especially with their yodling [yodeling[ songs. 17 Min. in 1, 2 Shows. Urbani & Son. One of the most remarkably hand balancing acts we have ever played. The strength of the boy is really amazing and the entire act scored immensely with the audience. 10 Min. Full Stage, 3 Shows. Motion Pictures. O. K. Note: The show in its entirety is one of the best we have had in a long time. It balances well, there is plenty of good comedy and has lots of drawing features.
