115 CRITICISM KEITH & PROCTOR'S 125TH STREET THEATRE DECEMBER 9, 1907. MARTIN BROTHERS Xylophone Soloists. Well known. Very pleasing and acceptable selections. Some little applause on the finish. 14 Min. in one. STELLING & REVELL Comedy Bar. Well known. Straight man received a lot of applause for his work while the comedian held his own and had them laughing continually. Big applause on the finish. 18 Min. Full Stage. JIMMY LUCAS Singing and dancing impersonations. this young man's impersonations are fairly good. He had the house with him from the start and made quite a hit. Compelled to bow continually. 13 Min. in one. 6 PEERLESS MOWATTS Club Manipulators. The greatest club juggling act in the profession. Big applause throughout. 8 Minutes Full Stage. 6 AMERICAN DANCERS Consisting of the Misses Estelle and Adelaide Lovenberg, Pearl Danforth, and The Messrs. Charles Connor, Pucella and Orben, in a series of tableau dances. Very nicely presented. Excellent idea, new and novel. Good feature for any bill. 16 Min. in one. GERTRUDE HOFFMAN In Imitated Caricatures of Well Known Players. Received big advance applause. She has improved the act a little although it is just as raw and suggestive as when first presented. The jury seemed pleased and gave her a rousing hand for each impersonation. With big applause on the finish. 20 Min. Full Stage. BOBBY NORTH Hebrew Comedian. This man's material is very bright which brought many laughs. His recitation on the chauffeur was simply a knock-out which necessitated him taking several bows. 24 Min. in one. big increase in business during the week; while the act is thoroughly alright in houses of this city I do not think it a proper entertainment to be presented in theatres of the Keith standing. The various scenes as above fully explain the story which is a little dramatic with a grand stand climax. Big applause on the finish with several curtain calls. 30 Min. Full Stage. KINETOGRAPH College Chums Fairly Good.
