24 Philadelphia B. F. Keith's July 21, 1919. Kinograms & "Topics of the Day" - A good variety of pictures. "Topics of the Day" just fair. The Girl in the Air - (11 mins.) A novelty singing turn in which a girl is projected over the audience. Prettily staged and did very well as an opener. Weber & Ridnor - (9 mins.) A very good dancing turn by a boy and girl. They use a couple of songs, but it is their dancing that carries them over. Plenty of snap and closed to a very good hand. Master Gabriel & Co. - (18 mins.) The new sketch is a very light vehicle but it serves Gabriel well enough to introduce a bright line of talk and song. He is assisted by a company of two. A very good set for children. Closed to a fair hand. Fenton & Fields - (12 mins.) Two boys, in black face, with a variety of comedy bits, singing and dancing. They got plenty of laughs and finished very good with a lively exccentric [sic] dance. Maryon Vadie & Ota Cygi - (15 mins.) A very classy offering, combining violin playing dancing [sic]. They have a well selected program of numbers, each of which is very well presented and all of it was very well liked. They closed to a very good hand. Sully & Houghton - (20 mins.) This act did very well with comedy talk, songs and dances, the latter being particularly good and scoring very strong. Sully is an excellent stepper and won a big hand for his eccentric work. Closed strong. Stone & Kali - (18 mins.) Their new operetta "A Song Romance" is a very pretty production with several very catchy numbers. It is also beautifully staged and dressed, making it very attractive. The songs are well done, and there is just a little dancing to liven it up. A piano player is also carried in the act. As a whole it is a classy song offering that got over in excellent shape and closed very strong. Burns & Frabito - (15 mins.) A very good laughing hit in about the same act they have been using for the past year or so. Their comedy talk is well handled and their instrumental music and songs brought them good results. Closed to a good hand. Bessye Clifford - (9 mins.) A very pretty closing act with a series of new pictures, nicely staged and held the audience in the closing portion, getting a liberal amount of applause for some of the more attractive pictures. General Remarks - This show differed from those we have been giving the last few weeks, being a combination of class and color, something out of the ordinary, and a very good summer entertainment. Cuts: Burns & Frabito - The word "Bushwa".
