PHILADELPHIA B. F. KEITH'S November 3rd 9 KINOGRAMS & "TOPICS OF THE DAY" - (18 mins.) Pictures much better this week and the "Topics" especially good, getting a lot of laughs. NORA JANE & COMPANY - (12 mins.) A very nice dance number by a man and woman with a piano accompanist. They have a fair variety of dances and did very well in the opening spot. RAYMOND & SCHRAM - (18 mins.) These boys were a very good applause hit, holding this spot down in splendid shape. All their songs got over with a good hand and they finished strong. LIDA MAC MILLAN & BERT SNOW - in "Contrary" - (15 mins.) A comedy sketch containing a theme that is not particularly new but furnishes these players with a very pleasing vehicle, which was very well received. It closes with a sensational bit and got a good hand. HUNTING & FRANCIS -(22 mins.) They were given a very warm welcome, having recently returned from France where they entertained the boys on the other side during the war. Their former sketch "The Flower Shop" was just as well received as ever. Closed strong. WILL OAKLAND - (12 mins.) He is doing very well with his new single, offering a repertoire of ballads of the kind he has always used and after getting a liberal share of applause closed to a good hand. BENNETT & RICHARDS - in "Dark Clouds" - (16 mins.) This act was one of the biggest hits of the bill. Their surprise opening got a big laugh and from then on it was a succession of laughs right up to the finish. Their eccentric dancing went as big as ever. AILEEN STANLEY - (17 mins.) A new single that will hold a spot on any bill. She made an excellent impression on her first showing here, putting over an applause hit with each song and closing very big with two snappy songs. She is accompanied by a pianist who also does one number and the whole act registered solidly in the next to closing spot. "CHICKEN CHOW MEIN" - Down in the closing spot, following a lot of singing and comedy, this act held the audience almost to the very last minute and certainly made good. It is a good fast act, full of action and with a lot of comedy that made them laugh. There are also a half dozen specialties and the whole production is prettily staged and dressed. It will hold its end with any of the new productions of its kind we have played. (37 mins.) GENERAL REMARKS - This whole bill is full of comedy and speed, and played entirely satisfactory with a capacity audience at Monday matinee. CUTS Raymond & Schram - Second verse of song "Up In The Air". Lida MacMillan & Bert Snow - Expression "Like He--I do." Bennett & Richards - "God Knows."
