BOSTON KEITH'S March 1, 20 Kinograms & Topics of the Day:-Interesting and amusing. Wheeler Trio:-6 min. F.S. Risley experts in a fast opening act. Tony:-15 min. in 1. Woman violinist with above the average ability. Went well. "Once Upon a Time":-27 min. F.S. Spec. 3 men and 4 women. Comedy musical skit built on original lines. Filled the spot. Cannot understand paying this act more than double a three spot price. Dorothy Brenner:-14 min. in one. Miss Brenner does four numbers scoring particularly with her two kid numbers. Went very well. Marguerita Sylva:-19 min. F.S. Mme. Sylva with her winning personality and fine voice found no trouble in scoring a hit. Kramer & Boyle:-19 min. in one. These two boys, one working black face, have a good routine of songs and patter. Went well. Stone & Kaliz:-20 min. F.S. Spec. Miss Stone & Mr. Kaliz in their "Song Romance" have one of the most artistic acts in vaudeville. Both are extremely pleasing and met with their usual success. They are assisted by Mr. Paul Parnell at the piano. Went big. Ford & Cunningham:-17 min. in one. This couple have some good comedy material of rather a light order, but went over well. Aerial Lloyds:-7 min. F.S. Four men in a splendid casting act. They do some great stunts which were appreciated by those who remained in. CUTS:- Once Upon a Time: Kindly omit the expression "Who the devil". Kramer & Boyle: Kindly omit the expression "What the devil". REMARKS: "Topics of the Day" devotes a good deal of time to advertising a Literary Digest competition for school teachers. It is brining the theatre into local politics--no matter how just the claim of the teachers.
