PHILADELPHIA B. F. KEITH'S March 22nd 20 KINOGRAMS & "TOPICS OF THE DAY" - Both very good and pleased very well. POTTER & HARTWELL - (12 mins.) A well known act. Pretty staging and all their stuff well handled. Very satisfactory opener. MILLER & BRADFORD - (14 mins.) Man and woman singing turn. Good voices, particularly the man. Have good songs and closed to a good hand. "THE LOVE SHOP" (29 mins.) A musical piece along the idea of "The Bride Shop". Contains some good comedy, well handled and this, with the dancing of the Ellsworths, which was the big hit, carried the act along nicely. A big flash in clothes and the act did very well without scoring a big hit. J. C. NUGENT - (16 mins.) His present monologue offering is not as good as the sketches he has appeared here in several times. His talk drags considerably but it did get some laughs in spots. Was better towards the finish and he closed to a very good hand. BLOSSOM SEELEY - (35 mins.) The whole act was seen to a disadvantage as Miss Seeley was in only fair voice and Bonnie Fields, her chief support could hardly talk or sing. Despite this the act got over in good shape. Miss Seeley's songs are good and she wears some handsome clothes. The act closed very strong. ALICE HAMILTON - (11 mins.) A novelty monologue that should go well anywhere. Her material is all well handled and she repeated the excellent impression made here last season. GEORGE KELLY in "The Flattering Word" - (26 mins.) A novelty playlet that proved interesting to our audience from start to finish particularly so as Mr. Kelly is a Philadelphian. The piece carries a new theme that contains a lot of comedy and it is splendidly played. Closed strong. KEEGAN & EDWARDS - (12 mins.) These boys were on very late at the first show but scored solidly. They have developed something new in the line of jazz and put it over in fine shape. Got plenty of laughs and applause and closed strong. DE LANO & PIKE - (8 mins.) These boys had a hard spot in the closing position of a very late show, but working under a handicap, they did very well. They have a good lot of material and work it in showy fashion. GENERAL REMARKS - This show was very long and dragged a bit at the opening matinee but there is a lot of good material in it and when going at its proper speed should work into a very well balanced bill.
