PROVIDENCE. R. I. E. F. ALBEE APRIL 5th, 20 Yesterday's show seem to please the holiday audience. Nevertheless I cannot say that I call it a first class bill, and following the excellent show of last week, it suffers materially by comparisons. However, it being after lent, school holidays and other conditions favorable, we will no doubt do a good business, particularly with Helen Kellar as a drawing card. CHAS. LOVENBERG. [SAMCYA?]: Aerial artist who does an unusual act on ropes and flying rings. Good act. 7 min. full stage. FINLAY & HILL: Some very ordinary singing and piano playing and some very poor comedy. Small time act. 16 min. in one. GYGI & VADIE: In the same act they have given us on previous occasions, excepting that I don't believe Mr. Gygi is playing as well as he formerly did. 13 min. full stage. DIAMOND & BRENNAN: Although it was represented to me that these people were coming with entirely new material; with the exception of a couple of songs, one of which was cut out, they gave us the same identical act that they did here three years ago and have been doing ever since and some portions of their act they did more than seven years ago. It is an imposition for an agent to represent this act as containing new material, especially to say of it all new material, and the Bentham Office has on several occasions made this same misrepresentation to me. They should be watched. 15 min. in one. HELEN KELLAR: Miss Kellar impressed the audience most profoundly and received great applause, there is every evidence that she is going to be a strong box office attraction. 18 min. full stage. MARGARET PADULA: Songs, whistling at the piano. Rather wholesome looking woman with a pleasant personality, good voice of its kind and a good whistler. The act may be classed good at present and in time should work up to something better than that. Worth while playing. 15 min. in one. OLSEN & JOHNSON: Were the big laughing hit of the bill. 16 min. in one. LA TOY'S MODELS: Very pretty posing act of dogs in which a young woman figures, which made a pretty closing feature.
