PHILADELPHIA B. F. KEITH'S AUGUST 2nd, 1920 KINOGRAMS & "TOPICS OF THE DAY" - A very good variety of pictures. FRANK HARTLEY - Did very well in the opening spot. Has about the same routine he has been doing for several years, but gets plenty out of his work. JAMES BURKE & ELEANOR DURKIN - A man and woman in a singing and talking turn. A new act that went over in great shape, getting plenty of applause and finishing very big. Both man and woman having pleasing personalities and get a lot out of their songs. The act is well worth while and worthy of a better than second spot on any bill. ED JANIS & COMPANY - A very pretty dancing number, three girls supporting Mr. Janis, who is the principal. A varied program of numbers and all dances well done. Plenty of action and closed to a big hand. CHARLES WILSON "The Loose Hut" - A big laugh and applause hit. His stuff is all nonsense but kept the house laughing from start to finish and closed big. MCCARTY & FAYE - A man and woman singing turn taken out of the usual run through a novel introduction, opening like a sketch and closing with songs and dances. It is well staged, well done and made a very good impression, closing strong. ROSE CLARE - This girl does a very novel single and handles her material in a very artistic manner, getting good results with all of it. She did very well in this spot and closed to a very good hand. "A TRIP TO HITLAND" - One of the biggest hits we have had in the house in a long time. A great vaudeville act and cannot fail to get over big anywhere. Forced to give several enchore numbers before they were permitted to leave the stage. MOSS & FRYE - This act went big as ever for us and it has always been a tremendous hit here. They have changed their routine a little and are doing a bit more singing but there is still plenty of laughs in their act and they got all of them. THE BILLY LA MONT TRIO - A fine closing act for this bill. Pretty staging and a good routine of wire walking, well handled. Did very well. GENERAL REMARKS - One of the best shows we have had this season and it plays every minute. Opened to capacity and created a lot of talk and ought to result in a big week. CUTS McCARTY & FAYE - The word "Damn."
