PHILADELPHIA B. F. KEITH'S THEATRE OCTOBER 11th 20 KINOGRAMS & "TOPICS OF THE DAY" - Very good. AL. & EMMA FRABELLE - (4 mins.) A very good opening act. They do a variety of stuff on the tight wire and handle their tricks very well. LEWIS & HENDERSON - (13 mins.) Two girls in varied musical act. They sing, play several musical instruments and do a bit of dancing, getting good results with all their material. Closed to a good hand. RAYMOND BOND & COMPANY - (23 mins.) A rather classy sketch having to do with stage life. Mr. Bond plays the dual role, getting some comedy out of a "rube" character. The sketch is nicely played and made a very good impression, closing to a very good hand. WANZER & PALMER - (15 mins.) A comedy talking turn by a man and woman that got over in very good shape. It is all talk but the comedy got a fair amount of laughs and the act closed to a good hand. MELLETTE SISTERS - (15 mins.) This act makes a very good flash, the girls doing a variety of dances in attractive costume. Lew Pollack, at the piano, also scored and the act held down this spot in good shape. "BLACKFACE" EDDIE ROSS - (18 mins.) One of the big applause hits of the show. He has a lot of comedy talk and finished with a banjo number that had the house rocking with applause. He was forced to do an enchore. VALESKA SURATT in "Scarlet" - (42 mins.) This sketch repeated very well and drew a full capacity audience for the opening show. Miss Suratt was given a very warm receiption and the act scord solidly, closing strong. Several changes have been made in the original company and while the playing of the leading male character may not be as good as that of Eugen Strong, the sketch is still a big hit. LAMBERT & BALL - (16 mins.) They were a big hit in the next to closing spot and following our headliner gave us a great finish. They have several new songs and two or three of their old one scored just as big as ever. Closed to a good hand. BALLIOT TRIO - (7 mins.) Two young women and a man in a very novel weight juggling and teeth act. they have some new material, well handled in a showy manner and made a very excellent closing number. GENERAL REMARKS - A very good show from start to finish and with Eddie Ross and Wanzer and Palmer exchanging places it played much better at the evening performance. One of the biggest audiences we have had at an opening appeared thoroughly satisfied with the whole bill.
