PHILADELPHIA B. F. KEITH'S DECEMBER 20th 20 KINOGRAMS & "TOPICS OF THE DAY" - Very good. JEWELL'S MANIKINS - (13 mins.) It did just as well as ever in the opening spot. Some new bits and a very good novelty. JACK JOYCE - (13 mins.) After opening very slowly he picked up dancing and finished very well. His monologue and songs did little for him but the fact that he is a war veteran makes a strong appeal and he is a very good dancer. LARRY HARKINS - (15 mins.) A local act which we played last year. Has had several changes in the company. Did very well with songs and instrumental music and closed very big. Outside of its value as a local attraction the act should get over very well anywhere on its merits as a musical novelty. IDA MAY CHADWICK - (16 mins.) Went over in very good shape, the dancing going especially strong, and the act finished to a very big hand. WILBUR MACK & COMPANY - (21 mins.) His new sketch did very nicely. It is well played, has a log of excellent comedy lines, which Mr. Mack handles with his usual cleverness and the song interpolations helped to lighten it up. It is a very good comedy sketch. JOSIE HEATHER - (17 mins.) She did very well but not as well as on previous visits, undoubtedly due to her selection of songs, which have not the snap others had. Handles all her material very well, however, and got by nicely. RIGGS & WITCHIE - (21 mins.) A very classy dancing act, beautifully staged, dressed and executed. It is a bit different from other acts we have had recently and therefore a novelty which was appreciated. Violin numbers scored and the whole act made a very favorable impression. BOB HALL - (17 mins.) He was just the act for the next to closing spot in this show, following all the class, and as usual was an applause riot. JAMES DUTTON & COMPANY - (7 mins.) This is one of the prettiest riding acts we play and held the closing position in splendid shape. It is just as pretty as ever and just as nicely done. GENERAL REMARKS - This show got an excellent start for the week before Christmas and ought to do as well as we can expect for this time of the year. Wilbur Mack and Riggs & Witchie changed places after the first show and further improved the running order. CUTS Jack Joyce - Eliminate lines "Sergeant told me somethings about myself and also something about my father and mother." Also substitute something for the gag about "looking all over Hell for you."
