REPORT OF BIJOU THEATRE, WOONSOCKET, R. I., Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, December 13, 14 and 15. GEORGE ILIAS--- In a Western Novelty. Act consists of Equilibristic Feats and Roping. Makes-up as cowboy. This act went rather weak. Very light hand at finish. 8 min. full. HARPER & BLANKS--- Smart Steppers. Man and woman, colored, in a refined singing, talking and dancing act; make several changes in costume; special drop. Good hand at finish. 10 min. in one. "ALEXANDRIA"--- "The Master King of Syncopation" Two men, one acts as assistant. Have a great time getting started--dropping things and falling all over stage--at last plays the xylophone. Got plenty of laughs and at finish a Big hand. 10 in one. BOWERS? WALTERS & CROOKER-- "The Three Rubes". Singing, dancing and acrobatic stunts. Also use a trapeze. All manner of cut-ups. This act got plenty of laughs all thro the act, also good hands, and at finish received a Big hand. 12 min. full. [Signature: A S Watson] Scenic Report on the Scenic show Dec 9th. 1920 Pawlet & Ray. Comedy Gymnasts. A good act, they do quite a bit of very good things on the rings, and the act went very good. 8 min in 3. Al Conrad & Partner. Comedy Talking, & Musical act. If they would cut out the poor comedy all on prohibition, and stick to the musical part, they would have a pretty good act, as it is now I call it poor. 12 min in 1. Greenlee & Drayton. Colored. Dancing & Singing numbers fairly good, they try to inject some comedy in the act by springing some jokes that have been sprung here about a score of times this season, with the result the act suffers because of it. 13 min in 1. Three Ander Sisters. Singing & Dancing. Not a big time act by no means. Act will get over in the small time houses more on account of the changes of costumes in front of the audience than from any other reason. I consider the act vulgar. 12 min in special setting in 3. Reddy
