PHILADELPHIA B. F. KEITH'S FEBRUARY 21stm 1 KINOGRAMS & "TOPICS OF THE DAY" - Good variety of pictures. "Topics" very funny. CHARLES McGood & COMPANY - (7 mins.) A very good opener with a routine of clever acrobatics, nicely handled. LUCY BRUCH - (10 mins.) Repeated very well. Her program includes popular and classical music and she is an excellent musician. MASTERS & KRAFT - (19 Mins.) A speedy, classy and prettily staged dancing act, including six persons. They do a variety of stepping, all of it fast, and the act is a very good combination of color and speed. Scored strong. LA FRANCE & KENNEDY - (21 mins.) Moved up at the first show oweing to the failure of Coogan & Casey to get in on time for the matinee. this act put over a good sized laughing hit. They work in blackface, one in comedy make-up, and have a good lot of material. Closed to a good hand. THOMAS E. SHEA - (26 mins.) This act repeated the same big hit it made here last season and was given the strictest attention from start to finish. It is a high class dramatic offering, wonderfully presented, and a big hit. MARGARET YOUNG - (20 mins.) Given an earlier spot on the bill owing to a disappointment she scored solidly with a lot of new songs. All her numbers are comedy and she put everyone of them over to a big hit. GERTRUDE HOFFMAN - (27 mins.) Due to a late arrival she did not give a very smooth performance at the first show, but the act got over fairly good and should prove a good card for the holiday week. BERT & HAZEL SKATELLE - (12 mins.) They have a good routine of dances on rollers and with the aid of a couple of songs did very well in the closing spot. GENERAL REMARKS - The absence of Coogan & Casey from the bill, owing to non-arrival of baggage, mixed up the bill a trifle, but the show was satisfactory and with this act in its place and a change of positions of the opening and closing acts should improve it. CUTS LA FRANCE & KENNEDY - "Oh! God." GERTRUDE HOFFMAN - Words "Don't give a damn" in Fannie Brice number.
