PROVIDENCE. R. I. E. F. ALBEE APRIL 11th, 1921 As a whole the show seems to please, although it is by no means the bill that we had the last two weeks. Nevertheless the box office will not suffer, because of the presence of Bushman & Bayne. CHAS. LOVENBERG. MOTION PICTURES: O. K. 12 minutes/ NAIDA MORRAINE: Double voice singer, possibly the best in her line we have had. She sings mostly the old fashion songs which were greatly appreciated. Quite a hit. 12 min. in one. BARONESS DE HOLLUB: I had been led to expect a great deal in the way of comedy from the man, but to me he is a very sad comedian. As a matter of fact, the woman is the better of the two and the act is only fair. 17 min. full stage. JIM MC.WILLIAMS: Pianist - comedian. An act, part of which is Chas. Olcott's old act, but as a whole much more satisfactory because of the low comedy introduced by this man. Could hold any spot on the bill. 19 min. in one. DUFFY & MANN: A pretty novelty nicely staged. The people have agreeable personalities and as a whole it is a nice little act. 16 min. full stage. D. D. H?: One of the best monologist we have ever had. He made a decided hit. 17 min. in one. BUSHMAN & BAYNE: A good box office attraction, but I can't say that I care much for their act. 23 min. full stage. WATSON SISTERS: There is no denying that these girls make them laugh, but they don't make them laugh to the extent of the wages they get. I can't see them for more than half the salary they are getting. Both D. D. H? and Jim Mc.Williams meant more on the bill than they did. They may be headliners in some places, but Providence would surely not be one of them. It is a good act and it might be H. R. R. at the outside. 22 min. in one. MAX'S CIRCUS: Fair little act that sufficed to close the show. 12 min. full stage.
