PHILADELPHIA B. F. KEITH'S JULY 18th 1 PATHE & "TOPICS OF THE DAY" - Very good series this week. ROY HARRAH & IRENE RUBINI - (11 mins.) Did very well as an opener. His comedy talk got only a few laughs but the act closed to a good hand with his skating and instrumental music by a girl. [LOWE?], FEELEY & STELLA - (15 mins.) A neat dancing turn by two girls and a man, nicely costumed. They do a variety of songs and dancing and closed to a big hand. KENNEDY & BERLE - (22 mins.) One of the big applause hits of the show. Very clever children and they have excellent material. Each of their bits scored and they finished very big. PAUL NOLAN & COMPANY - (14 mins.) An excellent comedy juggling turn. Good routine of stuff, all well handled. Girl is used in the act as an assistant. Closed strong. ETHEL BARRYMORE - (25 mins.) A capacity house greeted her enthusiastically and her sketch was a tremendous applause winner. It is a classy playlet and Miss Barrymore has a most satisfactory role. She was given the strictest attention and at the finish had to take several curtain calls. WATTS & HAWLEY - (16 mins.) Comedy singing turn by man and woman, the later at the piano. Watts is a portly comedian and gets all his humor out of his songs. This and the song at the piano by the woman got over in good shape and the act finished to a good hand. EMMA HAIG - (18 mins.) The classiest turn Miss Haig has shown here, though she has played here several times. Being a local girl made her an exceptionally strong care for this bill. Each dance is excellent, she has a very clever assistant in Richard Keene and the whole act is classy. It was a big hit and finished strong. HARRY DELF - (16 mins.) An excellent act for the next to closing spot in a snappy show and with plenty of variety to his work he got over in excellent style, closing to a very good hand, after getting plenty of laughs. THE MOLL BROTHERS - (7 mins.) Tow men in a perch act with a very good routine of tricks and nicely done. Did very well as a closing number. AESOP'S FABLES - (6 mins.) The fourth of the series are equally as good as the previous pictures and held a good percentage of the audience in their seats. GENERAL REMARKS - A very satisfactory show surrounding Miss Barrymore and the entire bill went over with great success before a capacity house at the opening matinee. With Miss Barrymore's popularity here a big week's business is looked for. CUTS WATTS & HAWLEY - Omit line in song "It tough to be a bachelor after ten o'clock at night."
