Providence, R. I. E. F. Albee September 19 1921 The show played first rate and practically everything scored. Charles Lovenberg ALTHEA LUCA & CO. Man and woman in a flying ring act. The woman is very clever and the man does his part acceptably. 8 minutes full stage JEAN LA CROSSE. Soprano. Miss La Crosse sings some rather hackneyed numbers in an ordinary manner lacking somewhat on personality rather than voice. Only a fair act. 9 minutes in one. HARRY HAYDEN & CO. In "The Love Game". A very clever comedy sketch, well played by Mr. Hayden but his support is very poor. 21 minutes full stage. BILL ROBINSON. Negro Comedian with lots of rather funny talk and very effective dancing. The big hit of the show. HARRY CARROLL & CO. One of the best acts of its kind we have ever had. 44 minutes full stage. LIDDELL & GIBSON. Two men female impersonaters. One straight the other a very grotesque comedian. Got a lot of big laughs and strong applause at the finish. REYNOLDS-DONEGAN COMPANY. Very attractive skating act. 12 minutes full stage. Boston Keith's Sept.19, 1921 Topics of the Day: Fairly Good Aesop's Fables: Fair Segal & Irwin: 3 min full stage spec. This strong man act made a good opener. Sharkey Roth & Will: 12 min in 1 Went over well in this spot. Ford Sisters.Revue: 23 min in full stage spec. Good flash and well staged. All numbers well received and closed to a big hand. Mrs Hathaway Turnbull: 21 min in 1 This act holds up what would otherwise be a fast moving show and no doubt accounts for the remainder of the bill not going as well as usual here. Bert Baker & Co. 29 min in full stage This customary laughing hit did not go as big as on former visits. Billy Glason: 20 min in 1 A difficult spot but held it nicely with the same material used here before. Fritzi Scheff. 16 min in full stage. Miss Scheff is evidently suffering with a bad throat and her voice is not what it was when seen here last. Pleased however and closed to a good hand. Toney & Norman: 22 min in 1 This well known act did very well next to closing, especially the eccentric dancing of the man. Else & Paulson: 14 min F.S. spec Exceptionally good skating act and closed the show to a good hand. Pathe News A few interesting subjects. CUTS: Bert Baker & Co. Please eliminate the word "Bum" and "Lay off a wife for 2 or 3 days." gag. Billy Glason: Please eliminate phrase "Damn Fool" Toney & Norman: Please eliminate "What the Hell" Remarks: This is a show where the individual acts are alright, but it did not go anywhere near as big as we anticipated. Mrs Turnbull and Bert Baker doing 50 minutes talk made it hard for everybody.
