PHILADELPHIA B. F. KEITH'S OCTOBER 10th, 1. AESOP'S FABLES & "TOPICS OF THE DAY" - (8 mins.) Good. MONROE & GRANT - (7 mins.) A trampolin act by two men. Starts a little slow but gathers speed with their acrobatic stuff. A good opener. BRENT HAYES - (14 mins.) Sometime since we have had a straight banjo act on our bill and he was well received. A clever artist. LOU & JEAN ARCHER - (16 mins.) Some new ideas are introduced into this act, which is a sort of revue. It is dainty, pretty and the Archers are clever dancers. Very well received. FENTON & FIELDS - (12 mins.) A corking good comedy act that we have played several times. Always makes good and was a bright spot here. IRENE BORDONI - (27 mins.) Very popular here and was cordially received. An act of real class. Her songs are catchy, well done and her costuming creates talk. Leon Vavara, her accompanist, is a clever pianist. GEORGE MAC FARLANE - (18 mins.) Always pleases here and scored as strongly as usual. Has a variety of good songs and sings all of them well. BERT BAKER & CO. in "Prevarication" - (26 mins.) A sure-fire laugh. The old style of farce and vaudeville could use a lot more as good as this one. It kept our house in a riot of laughs from start to finish. VENITA GOULD - (21 mins.) The real big applause hit of the show. A very strong act for the next to closing spot. She has several new imitations and her selections are all good. Scored a tremendous hit. ALMA NEILSON CO. in "Bohemia" - (16 mins.) This is a new act, a very pretty dancing novelty employing six persons, two of them men. One girl is particularly good in a variety of dancers. The act could have held an earlier spot with credit, but did exceptionally well in the closing position. It is an act that will improve. Was very well received. PATHE NEWS - (5 mins.) Pictures up to the usual average. GENERAL REMARKS - This show is full of class. Almost in direct contrast to what we gave them last week and it registered entirely satisfactory with our Monday audience.
