PHILADELPHIA B. F. KEITH'S THEATRE OCTOBER 24, 1 FABLES & "TOPICS OF THE DAY" -(13 mins.) Up to the average. FRANK & ETHEL CARMEN - (8 mins.) Very good opener. Handle hoops and juggling in showy fashion. SHARKEY, ROTH & WILL - (10 mins.) A sort of "Rathskeller" act composed of three men. It is of the better sort, good voices and piano and violin are used. Scored strongly in this spot. "THE LOVE RACE" - (39 mins.) Just a flash with several principals and a good-looking bunch of girls. Nicely staged and dressed. A little drawn out at times but the comedians work with snap and the dance numbers are particularly good. It is a good-looking girl act and did very well. CRAIG CAMPBELL - (14 mins.) One of the big applause hits of the show. and splendidly enjoyed by our patrons. Although all of his numbers are high class this did not prevent him registering just as solidly with the masses. MOSCONI BROTHERS - (16 mins.) A full sized riot we looked for and one of the biggest applause hits we play. The addition of the Father of the Mosconi family to the act during this week's engagement, of course, made it a bigger hit, but the dancing of the Mosconis' is even better than when we played it before. RUBY NORTON - 16 mins.) A classy single singing turn that fitted in nicely. Miss Norton sang well, made an attractive appearance and with the assistance of Mr. Senna, her pianist, put over a very likable act. CONROY & YATES - (15 mins.) (Formerly Reed & Yates and Conroy and Lemaire) A very good black-faced comedy act, with Conroy in his usual character. A lot of bright material, with a few old but very funny bits. and they registered a big laughing hit. THREE REGALS - (10 mins.) Made a very good closing act for this bill and held them in. They do a lot of heavy-weight lifting put on in novel style. PATHE NEWS - A good series of pictures. GENERAL REMARKS - This bill played out very satisfactorily, with a good variety of material surrounding the headliner, which, being a Philadelphia feature, was a sure-fire hit. CUTS "The Love Race" - Eliminate use of word "Buts"; the expression "Oh God" and reference to Harry Lauder.
