31 (M. J. Keating) Boston Show, Week of April 11, 1904 Stereopticon, 3 shows, 10 min. in 1--Usual collection of interesting and foreign views. Aloz and Zola, 3 shows, 16 min. in 3--In comedy, vocal and instrumental sketch. It is of a fair 3-a-day value, the woman being a good singer and the man contributing a cornet solo. The comedy does not count for much. Emil Subers, 3 shows, 15 min. in 1--Blackface talking and vocal comedian. From a 3-a-day point of view, he is quite a clever chap, his patter being up to the average and his rendering of "coon" ballads fair. Clark and Florette, 3 shows, 11 min. in 1--In singing and dancing specialties. They costume neatly, and went well all through, the finish being particularly strong. Clark can out shout Subars. Mrs. Wynne-Winslow, 2 shows, 10 min. in 1--Soprano vocalist of fair ability. She is good to look up on, costumes tastefully, but her voice is growing thready. She did not go very strong Petching brothers, 2 shows, 18 min. open in 3, close in 1--Novelty comedy musical turn, already described by New York. It is a good act, for the reason that they introduce several novelties and not because of superior musical abilities. Finished strong. Hal Stephens, 2 shows, 15 min. open in 1, close in 3--Giving imitations of noted stage favorites. He is an exceptionally clever man and scored a deserved hit. Many of his imitations were new this trip. Rastus and Banks, 3 shows, 11 min. open in 2, close in 1--"Real coon" singers, known as the "Major and the Maid". Rastus is one of the most agile acrobatic dancers on the stage, and his work makes a strong finish. Wallno and Mariett, 2 shows, 9 min. full stage--European vocalists and eccentric dancers. Billed "the original Vienna Caricature" dancers. Second time here and scored just as big a hit. Their work is exceptionally artistic. Charles Littlefield, 2 shows, 15 min. in 1--Vocal mimic. Same specialties he has been offering for 20 years. Went fair; not so well as the last time here.
