45 Callahan and Mack, 2 shows, 20 min. full stage -- Presenting their Irish character sketch, "The Old Neighborhood," which went better than it has ever done before in this house. Finished strong and can probably be set down as the hit of the show. George W. Day, 2 shows, 16 min. in 1 -- Blackface comedian and singer. Did not go so strong as the last time he was here, but probably the place in the bill is too stiff for him to negotiate. Had a lot of new material, and I consider he did capitally under the circumstances. Parros Brothers, 2 shows, 11 min. full stage--European equilibrists and hand balancers, offering the best act of its kind ever seen here. Was applauded all through. Biograph, 3 shows, 20 min. in 1 -- Exhibited a miscellaneous assortment of pictures this week. Hardly up to the standard they have set during the winter. George E. Austin, 3 shows, 15 min. full stage -- Comedy slack-wire performer, assisted by one of the stage hands, who proved to be the real thing in the act. Elicited roars of laughter all through. Comments:- The show, although a fairly good one, especially in the matter of balance, is not up to those we have been giving them during the past months, more especially during the last three weeks, and it suffers by contract more than anything else. The audience this afternoon was only fair in size and decidedly frosty, so a fair line on the show could not be obtained, The weather was so fair and warm that it probably prevented the people from coming in.
