60 60 ENW YORK SHOW, WEEK OF MAY 9th. HR 3 KOPPE.-- Club juggler and hoop roller. This fellow does a fair little act, but nothing that is at all extraordinary. I tried him out as he has been asking for the circuit for some time, and he will be all right whenever we need a small act of this kind. 14 minutes, open full stage, and can close with a minute or two in one. ER 3 . HANSON & DREW.-- In a rural comedy sketch, which is not particularly meritorious, at the same time it does no harm in an insignificant place on the bill. 16 minutes, full stage, close in one. GRR 3 WOOD BROS. Ring performers, and a very clever ring act. in fact, with the exception that there are two instead of three, I think I would as soon have them as the Rio Brothers. 10 minutes, full stage. NR 3 BROWN & BARTOLETTI. A man and a woman in a singing and dancing act interspersed with a little comedy. Botha re neat dressers and clever dancers, and as they are new faces on our circuit they are especially welcome. 12 minutes, open full stage and close in one. GRR 3 KRIESEL'S DOGS.-- This is a very good troupe of dogs, all of them working without any apparent fear of their master; and the troupe also includes an acrobatic monkey which created a lot of laughter. It is a good animal act for the small part of the bill. 15 minutes, full stage. NH 3 CORELEY & BURKE. Irish comedians and dancers. These two men were given a pretty strong place on the bill this week, but they managed to hold their own and make good in great shape. They have got a great collection of old "gags", but they all seemed to go nevertheless. 16 minutes, in one. GYH 3 SISTERS DE VAN.-- Which is really a man and his wife, the man making up as a woman, in a ladder perch act; the same act that they have done on the circuit before. It is a nice clean turn, but very short. 7 minutes, full stage. YRR 2 THE VILLAGE CHOIR. Two men and two women in rustic makeup. This is the quartette that has been with "Way Down East" so long, and they do some very clever singing. The women are pretty and dainty looking, and the men are clean, robust looking fellows, and there is no attempt at comedy. Their selections are very well chosen indeed. They made quite a hit with some of the old songs. 19 minutes; they worked entirely in one for us with their rustic bench on the stage. SRR 2 HENRY LEE.-- It is hardly necessary to say that Mr. Lee is probably the greatest artist in this line, all things considered, in the world. He gave us some new impersonations--the Tzar of Russia and a Jap general, both of which were appreciated, while that of the Jap elicited great applause, showing which way the sympathy went. He closed as usual with his impersonation of Gen. Robert E. Lee, which I think is one of the best things he does. 24 minutes, full stage. GYH 2 BROWN & NAVARRO. A colored man and a woman in what I think is the most versatile act of the colored teams which we play. They don't get so much laughter, but their work is finished, particularly the Chinese impersonation at the end. 14 minutes in one. MRR 2 MR & MRS SIDNEY DREW. In the piece they have done on the circuit before entitled "When Two Hearts Are One." It is hardly necessary to say that they act went big, for both Drew and his wife are unquestionably capable actors. 19 minutes, full stage. YHR 2 FRANK BUSH.-- In Hebrew, Irish, Yanke, and negro stories, and his act was a scream from start to finish, as it always is in this house. 19 minutes in one. GYH 2 WILLS & HASSAN Acrobats and head balancers. A mighty clever team of performers. 12 minutes, full stage. HR3 BIOGRAPH. A good exhibition this week, the feature being a new colored film, which like the other is illustrative of life in the backwoods and includes and Indian massacre with all sorts of hair raising incidents. The film is very finely colored. 10 minutes in one. S. K. HODSDON
