159 DETROIT, MICHIGAN, TEMPLE THEATRE, Week of Sept. 26th, 1904. ALICE LYNDON DOLL:- This is a young girl about fifteen years old who sings four songs. She has an ordinary voice, pleasing stage presence and dresses exceptionally well. 13 mins. in one. ED. F. REYNARD: Ventriloquist. This act has been before the public for so long that comment is unnecessary. Suffice to say that it is one of the best acts of its kind in vaudeville. 21 mins. F. S. [??]RD & WILSON: Blackface comedy and dancing act. This is a very good act of its kind. The comedy better than the ordinary. 12 mins. one. CLAUDE GILLINGWATER & CO.: Mr. Gillingwater who was with Miss Leslie Carter & Blanche Bates is one of the best actors who has come to vaudeville from socalled legitimate stage, supported by Miss Nina Lyn and three other persons presents a comedietta entitled "The Wrong Man" in a capable manner. It was very pleasing to our audiences. 29 mins. F S. LUIGI DEL. 'ORO: He plays the accordion in the same artistic manner that Paderewski plays the piano. His act also went very strongly with our audiences. GUS KERKER'S VERY GRAND OPERA: This act is a satire on grand opera methods. 6 people take part in it. The leading singers were Miss Clara Lane and J. K. Muray. While the singing of Miss Lane is extraordinarily good, it does not strike me that the act itself will do for vaudeville. 23 mins. F. S. FISHER & CARROLL: This is a sidewalk conversation act between two men one of whom is a good comedian. Act went very strong. 17 mins. in one. COLLINS & HART: An acrobatic comedy act of ordinary merit. Received considerable applause. 12 mins. F. S. KINETOGRAPH: "The Great Bank Robbery". This series of pictures is not to be compared with "The Great Train Robbery", which preceded them [at] this house.
