161 Report On Keith's Show Maryland Theater - Baltimore Week of Sept.26th Our bill this week, although a great deal more expensive than last, did not give as much satisfaction, due to some extent to the quietness of Miss Irish act, which is drawn out too long and borders closely on the tiresome, also the crudeness of the Gardner & Vincent act, caused I have no doubt by the fact thatbthey appeared last week ina new act and the quick switchback to the old one. On the whole nearly all the artists on the program seem to be getting too much money, a thirty-per-cent reduction in all cases excepting the Biograph, would bring the salary list down to its proper basis. Fort & Gehrue - Very good. Too good to open show and would be better appreciated further down bill. Wilton Bros. - Good act but too much money. Matthews & Ashley - Good act for $100 Annie Irish - Very pretty act, but too quiet for our audiences. Act would be improved if about five minutes of dialogue was out out of first part. Smith & Fuller - A first class musical act. Went big, especially harp playing and singing of Miss St. George. Gardner & Vincent - Act went poor. Seemed crude as if presented for first time. James J. Horton - Great favorite here. Act went better than ever before and made big hit. Hassan Ben Ali's Arabs - Same old Arabs. Act goes fairly well, but too much money. Biograph - Pictures very good, especially "Personal" which went big. [Handwritten signature:] Frd'k. C. [Schauberger?]
