which was introduced in the character. It may be possible that he will go better with tonights audience, but this afternoon's crowd knew nothing at all of what he was doing and consequently could not appreciate his work which personally, I consider very fine. 16 min. in two, 2 shows. Vera King. The same act she had for us last season, songs and stories which was fairly well accepted, but would have probably have gone stronger had she not been preceeded by "Ray Cox". However, it is a good act for the money. 2 shows, 13 min. in one. Annie Irish. The same criticism that has been given over the circuit for this act will apply now, that is, it is highly artistic and was much appreciated by this afternoon's audience, getting three curtain calls which is pretty strong for Providence. 20 min. full stage, 2 shows. Lew Sully. Story teller and a mighty good one. He went exceptionally strong this afternoon. 20 min. in one, 2 shows. Mlle. Chester & Dog. In the act they have always given us which is as beautiful as ever. 9 min. in three, two shows. Crane Brothers. In "The Mudtown Minstrels" with a little new material; and in a very hard place held the audience and made a hit. 18 min. in one, 2 shows. Three Merrills. Bicyclists. Very good act. 15 min. full stage two shows. Biograph. Very fine collection of views among the best we have had, possibly the best. The little going over, seems to have done some good.
