189 TEMPLE THEATER, DETROIT, MICH. Week of Oct. 17th, 1904 CARTER & BLUFORD: Colored man and woman in singing and dancing act of more than ordinary merit. Carry their own drop. 17 mins open & close in one. THE ICHI TROUPE: Three Japanese men and two Japanese women in feats of magic. While there is nothing very wonderful about the feats performed the Japs excite considerable interest. Their act is prettily staged. 29 min. F.S ITALIAN TRIO: This trio pleases the music lovers and their singing is extraordinarily good. 13 mins in one. ROB'T. HILLIARD & CO: Presenting the burglar sketch "No. 973". This act is almost too well known to require extended mention. Suffice to say that it is the most interesting sketch in vaudeville and is superbly presented. 25 mins. F. S. GEO. W. DAY: Mr. Day appeared in blackface. Went very strong with our audience. He has some new stories which he gets over the footlights in excellent fashion. 16 mins. one. O'BRIEN & HAVEL: Presenting "Ticks & Clicks". This act is also too well known to require extended comment. It went better than ever. 19 mins. F. S. MISS LUCY CLARKE: Irish Contralto. Miss Clarke has grand voice particularly when she sings in the upper register but her lower notes are quite ordinary. She brought some new songs here and appeared to meet with popular favor. 21 mins. in one. KELLY & ASHBY: These comedy acrobats have never been very popular with Temple audiences, and in my opinion their act is not at all interesting. 17 mins. in one
