43 TEMPE THEATRE. DETROIT Week Oct. [October] 19th, 1903. No. 1. Bailey & Fletcher. Two colored men. singing and dancing. Fair act. Thirteen minutes in one. No. 2. Jules and Ella Garrison. presenting their same old act, Burlesque tragedy. I am convinced of the fact that they require a new act for this house as they have played the same act here several times before and it is not going as well this time. Seventeen minutes. Full stage. No. 3. Dorothy Kenton. She makes a very pleasing appearance and entertains the audience very well with the banjo. Eleven minutes. In one. No. 4. The Girl with the Auburn Hair. This act is too well known to require any comment. It was produced the same as before with elaborate scenery and never fails to please, especially the better class of our audience. Fourteen minutes. Full stage. No. 5. Dillon Brothers. Parody singers. They have all new stuff. and are going better this time than they ever did before. Twenty minutes. In one. No. 6. Edmund Day & Co. Three people. In his latest act entitled "Shipmates". I consider it one of the best sketches I have ever seen in vaudeville, as it is so extremely different from anything else, and it went big with our audience. Twenty-six minutes. Full stage. No. 7. Avery Strakosch. Prima Donna. She was in excellent voice Monday and went very fine, considering her place on the bill, following the Auburn haired girl. Thirteen minutes. In one. No. 8 Staley & Birbeck in their transformation act. It is without a doubt the quickest transformation ever accomplished on the vaudeville stage and they have improved greatly on their musical instruments and went very big with their audience. Eleven minutes. Full stage. No. 9 The Biograph. New pictures and fifteen minutes.
