126 Frederick Bond and company, 2 shows, 25 min. full stage--Presenting "My Awful Dad", an old English farce which he did here on the occasion of his last engagement. Did not go so well, however, for Mr. Bond's supporting company is decidedly not as good, with the exception of Mr. Buchanan. Neither Miss Benton or Miss Tassin will stand comparison with the ladies who filled the roles of the widow and servant last season. Mr. Bond, himself, was off in his lines. He is saving money by employing cheaper people. Fisher and Carroll, 2 shows, 19 min. in 1--Eccentric talking comedians, the hit of the act being scored by Fisher's funny voice A big laughing hit. Marcel's Living Art Studies, 2 shows, 20 min. full stage--Made several changes in the subjects this week and went better than last. We can easily run them two months next fall. Shean and Warren, 2 shows, 17 min. open in 1--Close full stage--Presenting for about the sixth time here their burlesque absurdity, "Quo Vadis Upside Down". It created just as much laughter as ever, in fact, it was the laughing hit of the show. I never heard such an uproar in the house as followed the close of the act this afternoon. Frank Bush, 2 shows, 16 min. in 1--Hebrew storyteller and mimic. Was not strong enough to hold the hard place in the bill and we have been obliged to make a rearrangement. Milly Capell, 2 shows, 12 min. full stage--Second time here of this noted German equistrienne and animal trainer. Act went very nicely but will do better further up the bill. Biograph, 3 shows, 20 min. in 1--Fair selection of pictures, though not equal to some recent weeks. Carl Sanderson, 3 shows, 15 min. full stage--Comedy and trick pianist. Good 3-show act. Comment:- The audience this afternoon was exceptionally large and enthusiastic. The show is unquestionably a strong one all through although the shortcomings referred to in the criticisms above to not count in the general effects. One rearrangement we look for it to go as well as any show we have had throughout the year. The rearrangement tonight will be: Carl Sanderson, Stereopticon, Leon and Adeline, Klein and Clifton, Yackley and Bunnell, Lavender and Tomson, Mabel Hudson, Pantzer trio, Frank Bush, Shean and Warren, Fisher and Carroll, Marcel's Pictures and Biograph.
