162 Edmund Day & Co. "Shipmates". This is one of the best sketches of a Dramatic type that we have ever had. The feature of the act is novel and it is very cleverly presented by the two men; the woman is only passable, still she does no harm. 27 min. full stage, (carrying their own scenery) 2 shows. Ethel Levy. She got on very late at the afternoon show and didn't go as strong as I am sure she will after the rearrangement; although her act was very well received indeed. I look for her tonight to make a big hit. 15 min. in one, 2 shows. Harry Le Clair. Much to my surprise and gratification he made one of the hits of the show, probably second to that of the Sisters Gausch and there is no doubt in the world but what his work will be acceptable all over the circuit. His act was described by Mr. Hodgdon two or three weeks back so detail description is not necessary now. 22 min. open in three closing with about 5 min. in one, using his own drop, 2 shows. De Witt, Burns & Torrance. This is a very novel act in which the performers impersonate toys which awaken and go through some very clever acrobatic work. The two men do all the work and the woman simply looks pretty and helps fill up the stage. It lends a little atmosphere to the performance. 12 min. full stage 2 shows. Carry their own scenery. Biograph. O. K.
