197 CRITICISM OF SHOW. KEITH'S NEW THEATRE, PHILA. FEB. 22ND. MITCHELL-17 mins.-C.D.F. in 2-close in one-Ventriloquist. Very ordinary ventriloquial act. Good for an opener or on the early bill. Some of the talk a bit suggestive and will have to be cut out. Good three-a-day act. HUBERT DE VEAUX, crayon artist. His trunks didn't arrive in time for him to go on. EDDIE MACK-12 mins. in one-Dancer, went on in street clothes. Trunk didn't come. good dancing act. PELOT-13 mins.-Gar. in 2-Comedy juggler; works here frequently. Good little act for the early bill, with a good windup, catching apples on a fork. WOOD & RAY-15 mins.-C.D.F. in 3-close in one-Man and woman, in a comedy sketch. Here before. Good. CARMEN TROUPE-12 mins.-Gar. in 4-Three men and two women, wire and acrobatic act; neatly dressed; very showy act, five people being on the wire at one time. Very good act. MARION LITTLEFIELD-10 mins. in one-Soloist. Seemed a bit quiet for a holiday crowd. Following the hurrah finish of the Carmen Troupe, she had a difficult place. Received a fair amount of applause from the orchestra. MARTINI & MAXMILLIAN-18 mins.-C.D.F. in 2-close in one-Magician and comedy assistant. Very good act, with good comedy. Went very well. The audience seemed to like their work immensely. Very good act. MANSFIELD & WILBUR-28 mins.-C.D.F. in 3-Man and woman, in a comedy sketch "61 Prospect Street," one of the best and cleanest comedy sketches in vaudeville. Went very well to-day, following the strong comedy ahead of it. Very good act. MURPHY & FRANCES-15 mins. in one-Man and woman, colored team. Very lively act, full of life and ginger. Went very strong and finished with terrific applause. Good act. ANNIE ABBOTT-25 mins.-Pal. in 3-Gave a really wonderful exhibition, and will be talked about all week. She lifted ten men, and ten men couldn't lift her. In the greenroom the newspaper men had a crack at it, and no one could lift her. A very mysterious and wonderful act. An excellent feature act. Detection is impossible. ROONEY & FRANCIS-10 mins.-Gar. in 3-close in one-Pat Rooney and Emma Francis. A very neat and clever song and dance act. Went very strong. Good act. WATERBURY BROS. & TENNY-23 mins.-C.D.F. in 3-close in one. Three men, too well known for comment. Very good act. TOOZOONIN ARABS-10 mins.-Landscape in 4-An excellent troupe. One of the best closing acts we have had in months. Strong act. BIOGRAPH-20 mins. in one-Good selection. COMMENT:-The show is good throughout, and with the holiday crowd it went like wildfire. H. A.
