211 TEMPLE THEATRE, DETROIT, MICHIGAN. Week of Feb. 29th, 1904. THE MAAKWOODS.: Two men one dressed as a woman, in an acrobatic act. This is a cheap European act but does well to open the show. 7 mins F.S BROWN & NEVARO: Colored man and woman in a character change act of considerable merit. Brown is one of the best, is not the best colored impersonator on the vaudeville stage. The woman is of considerable assistance to him. 10 mins. in one. QUAKER CITY QUARTETTE: Four men with good voices appear as the village blacksmiths The vocal and instrumental music is interspersed with comedy, some lines of which are rough. 24 mins. F. S. In one. THE GREAT SANDOR TRIO: Three men in feats of strength on the rings. The men, are perhaps, the strongest ever seen here and they excited considerable interest among the patrons. 10 mins. F. S. HELEN BERTRAM: Prima Donna Soprano Her vaudeville debut. On account of the very damp condition of the weather we were unable to tell definitely as to her drawing powers. The advance sale was large. Her stage presence was excellent. 12 mins. with drape. RICE & COHEN: This talented couple appeared in the "Kleptomaniacs". and made a decided hit. Their sketch is excellent and full of laughs. 28 mins. F. S. JOSEPHINE GASSMAN: Singer of coon songs accompanied by three picks. The act is of average merit. 10 in one. UNION GATLING GUARDS: Eight men in a Gatling Gun drill and battle scene. This act contains a great amount of shooting, hence is not just the thing for a lady audience, but it is very strong closing act. 10 mins. F. S.
