32 Report on show, Keith's Theatre, Providnece, R.I., Week of September 11, 1905. (Charles Lovenberg, Manager.) 32 The show is a very good one indeed; very lively although I think with Ellis-Newlan Trio we would have been better off than with Spissel Brothers & Mack who replaced them, as the former closing in one, gave me a better chance to balance my bill. Ed Estus. Equilibrist. Good little act for the money to open the show. 10 min. in 2, 3 shows. German & West. Sketch team well known over the circuit. Very good for an early place on the bill. 15 min. in three, close in 1, 3 shows. Leclair & Hardt. Couple of men doing an act with imitations of "Blocksom & Burns" and "Collins & Hart". It is all right for the three a day section but that is about as much as can be said for them. They lack finish. 10 min. full stage, 3 shows. Marie Laurent. Singer. Good for the price, three shows. 12 min. in one. Mooney & Holbein. Man and woman in a singing, dancing comedy act. One of the best little variety sketches we play. sate at any time up to 8:15. 17 min. open 3, close in one. 2 shows. Spissel Bros. & Mack. Good lively acrobatic comedy act which this afternoon, in a hard place on the bill, closing the show as they got in late, made good thoroughly. 12 min. full stage, 2 shows. The Italian Trio. Went fully as strong as their previous visit. Three good singing men. One of the hits of the bill. 12 min. in one, 2 shows. Duryez & Mortimer. Dramatic comedy sketch "The Imposter." Splendid vehicle and well played. 22 min. full stage, 2 shows. Sallie Stembler. Went very much better this time than on her previous visit. She has good material and delivers it well. Good act. 16 min. in one, 2 shows. Fadettes Orchestra. These people got a big hand on their opening and went very strong at the finish but didn't get as much applause as they have heretofore on the various selections. The house didn't indicate either that they were drawing as well as before. It may be a little bit early in the week to judge but I am afraid that the novelty has worn off from this act and it lacks the drawing power of previous years; but that will be better told at the end of the week. 40 min. full stage. Happy Jack Gardner. This act has been described by other Managers on the circuit and I want to say that in the stiffest kind of a place he made good thoroughly. 20 min. in 1, 2 shows. Berzac's Circus. As this act was described by Boston last week IO need only say now that it is a scream from start to finish, making the biggest kind of a hit. There is no doubt in ,y mind as to its drawing value. 15 min. full stage, 2 shows. Kinetograph. Picture "Stolen by Gypsies" same style as "The Lost Child" that we had before, hardly as good. Films given by these people are not long enough. During the past weeks we happened to have exceptionally long bills but sometime when the show is short we are going to be caught badly for lack of time.
