49 Cleveland Show September 25th. (H. A. Daniels) JEWELL'S MANIKINS-- Well known on the circuit. He has introduced a lot of new stuff since I last saw the act. Quite a high priced act for an opener, but I had to use him there. Went quite well with a cold Monday after-noon audience. Good Act. 20 minutes. Full stage. Special scenery. BESNAH & MILLER--Man and woman. Comedy singing and dancing team. The audience seemed to like the act in spots. The dancing is much better than their singing or talking. Fair act for this house. 15 minutes in one. NOTE--Cut out "Takes the rag off the bush." AGUSTA GLOSE--Original musical monologue. She could well eliminate her opening speech. Woman is quite clever and her offering is quite dainty and artistic. It pleased in spots. She closes in 1 with a song, "She Walks Like This", sung last year by Julian Eltings. Good act. C. D. F. in 2 1/2, close in 1. 10 minutes. Five Mowatts--Club jugglers and to my mind as good as any we play. Some of their rapid fire work is better than that done by the Juggling Johnsons. Received liberal applause. Garden in 5. 9 minutes. Quigley Brothers--Well known talking act. I believe they were members of the Philadelphia house stock company. Their act went very well here and the Clevelanders seem to catch their repartee and enjoy it. Their dialogue brought forth allmost continuous laughter. Good act for this house. 16 minutes. FADETTE ORCHESTRA--Twenty pieces. This act needs no comment. They went quite well today, but expect them to go better with an evening audience. Caroline B. Nichols has changed the make up of the orchestra considerably since last year. Good act for this house. 28 Minutes. Palace in 5. MARSHALL P. WILDER--Went better than I have ever known him to go before on the vaudeville stage. All his stuff was laughed at and he was liberally applauded. Very good act for this house. 15 minutes. Special drop in 1. SIX ALLISONS--There are really eight of them, six men and two boys. They do work that is absolutely new. Stuff that I have never seen done before any where. It is the best acrobatic act I have seen in years. Palace in 4. 14 minutes. Kinetograph--Three pictures. Leap-frog railway Good Cards and Crime. A little too melo-dramatic for this house. Weary Wilie in the auto Good comedy COMMENT--The show is not a good vaudeville show. Individual acts are very good, but the show doesn't run off smoothly. It goes by jerks and starts. The little show we had last week, costing half the money has this beten a mile. Matinee tody was no better than last week, regardless of the fact that we have the town plastered with Fadette Orchestra and Marshall P. Wilder.
