50 Cleveland Show, October 1st. (H. A. Daniels) BELL VEOLA--Vocalist, dancing and contortion work with iron hoops. Does nothing out of the beaten path, but offers a very acceptable little act for the money. Open in 2, close in 1. 6 minutes. KIT KARSON--Novelty shooting exhibition on the slack wire. A very clever exhibition and a good sight act for the money. Garden in 4, 9 minutes. CARTMELL & HARRIS--A man and woman in a singing and dancing specialty of ordinary merit. Received a little applause at the finish. Open in 2, close in 1, 8 minutes. WORMWOOD'S DOGS AND MONKEYS--A dozen well trained clean looking dogs and half a dozen monkeys. A very good animal act, punctuated with plenty of good comedy. Liberal applause. Garden in 5, 15 minutes. MIREL VON WENZL--Miss Von Wenzl did not make much of an impression on the audience today. She is quite good looking and has good stage presence, but her songs did not seem to impress the audience. Received little applause. Personally, I think the act a good one. Drapery in 1. 7 minutes. HARRY LE CLAIR--Offering has well known impersonations of famous actresses and characters. Received advance applause on his entrance and seemed to go better with the afternoon audience than I have ever known him to go beore. However, he stretched the act out a little too long and the audience seemed to get tired toward the end. C.D.F. in 3, close in 1. 23 minutes. WILFRED CLARKE & CO.--Sketch, "No More Trouble". Was presented in this house last year. Has played the circuit and needs no comment. Very good act for this house. This afternoon's audience laughed continuously. C. D. F. in 3. 17 minutes. WOOD & RAY--Man and woman offering their well known travel act. A little too long drawn out to be snappy. Not quite strong enough for this very important spot. Good act for an hour earlier. Drop in 1. 14 minutes. AGOUST FAMILY--Three men and two women offering their well known juggling act which, while very good, has ceased to be a novelty. It is high class, artistic, beautifully gowned and the wind up is quite lively. Received liberal applause at the close. C.D.F. 3 1/2. 18 min. KINETOGRAPH--Peace Envoys Good
