(F. J. O'Connor) Boston Show, Week of Oct. 15, 1905 Stereopticon, 3 shows, 10 min. in 1--Usual selection of interesting pictures. Mr. and Mrs. Darrow, 3 shows, 13 min. full stage--Sand, smoke pictures and shadowgraphs. Their shadowgraph work was strongly appreciated by the audience today in spite of the fact that we had Chassino only a few weeks ago. Excellent at for the 3-show section. McGloine and Smith, 3 shows, 12 min. in 1--Singers and dancers. Their dancing is the only thing that lets them out, and that is nothing extraordinary. Got a fair hand at the finish. La Vine Cimaron Trio, 2 shows, 10 min. in 3--Eccentric comedians, acrobats and dancers. Well-known on the circuit. Good act for the early 2-show division and could stand a much better position than we are able to give them. Strongly applauded at the close. Corbley and Barke, 3 shows, 15 min. in 1--Irish comedians, singers and dancers. Had some fairly bright jokes and they are but fair dancers. Just about got by in this spot today. Clay Clement, 2 shows, 25 min. full stage--In the German comedy sketch, "The Baron's Love Story". Clement is an artist in the true sense of the word in his line, but there is too much "one man business" to the piece to give it a good position on the bill. The incoming audience took away the interest of those seated and he only secured a fair hand at the curtain. John Eberley, 2 shows, 10 min. in 1--Baritone vocalist. This man makes an excellent selection of songs. He only sang three today, every one of which was strongly applauded and could easily have favored us with another. Staley and Birbeck, 2 shows, 10 min. full stage--In their lightning change scene. Got quite an advance reception and went fully as well as any time during the preceding week. J. K. Murray and Clara Lane, 2 shows, 23 min. full stage--Former principals of the Castle Square Opera Company and big favorites in this city. First time in five years, presenting the comedy sketch, "An Evening at Home", in which they introduced Grand Opera and comedy songs, every one of which went strongly with our patrons today. Forced to respond to five cutain calls at the finish this afternoon. An excellent show that contains a lot of drawing power. There is really not a poor act in the entire bill and there is no question but what we will do big business
