TEMPLE THEATER, DETROIT, MICH. OCT. 16, J. K. [ILLEGIBLE) CHARLES SERRA An equilibrist act on pedestal. This is a most excellent act and would add strength to any bill. 9 min. F. S. HELEN REIMER She worked her character monologue hard but did not appear to catch on until toward the end. 18 min. in one. FOY & CLARK Their new act "The Modern Jonah," made a big hit. Both scenically and as to dialogue there is nothing wanting. It is much better than "The Old Curiosity Shop." 17 min. F. S. THE GREAT LAFAYETTE Presenting, his illusions, his protean act, his impersonations and "The Lions Bride." Personally I think this man is the biggest four-flush in the business, but I cannot get away from the fact that he pleases the audiences as he was applauded for a full five minutes after his impersonation act. Sound, color, life and light constitute Lafayette and the public appear to like it. First two acts 32 min. Last act 18 min. WILL ROGERS An act without peer for novelty, execution and atmosphere. This Rogers is a genuine child of the plains with a patter that is both original and refreshing. His work with his lasso and Indian pony assisted by a fellow cowboy is remarkable, and I consider him the true headliner of the bill. 13 min. F. S. HOEY & LEE Hebrew impersonators. They went very good with our audiences. They have considerable new material and their delivery is all than can be desired. 17n min. in one. KINETOGRAPH "The Steeplechase" and "The Boy Tramps" are among the very best subjects ever presented here. The former in particular is both beautiful and exciting and can be considered a masterpiece of moving photography.
