Report on show, Keith's Theatre, Providence, R. I., Week of December 4. 1905. (Charles Lovenberg, Mgr.) The bill this week is quite satisfactory although not as strong as some others we have had this season. Morton, Temple & Morton. Two men and a young woman who have an act that is made up of singing, dancing and acrobatic work, none of which is very well done but it is all right in the three a day section or to open the show at a small salary. 14 min. full stage, can close in 1, 3 shows. Reeves & Quinn. Two men, principally dancers although they do a little singing and comedy and introduce an old-fashioned clog. Act is all right in the early three a day section. 12 min. in 1, 3 shows. Anderson & Goines. Colored comedians and very good ones. The act is good enough to take quite an important place in any vaudeville bill. 16 min. in 1, 3 shows. Keeler's Jap Troupe. All Japanese acts are good , although I don't consider this one quite up to some of the others that we have had; still for a three a day act, and amount of time that is satisfactorily consumed and satisfaction given, it must be rated as very good. 22 min. full stage, 3 shows. Mattie Locket. Juvenile impersonator. This young girl makes a very cute and dainty appearance, sings a couple of songs in a naive manner and does a little dance. The act is thoroughly all right excepting it is quite short. 8 min. in 1, 3 shows. NOW. BROWN, HARRIS & BROWN. When these people made their appearance I must say I felt apprehensive but they got away with their turn in first rate fashion, in fact, made a hit. To some extent, I think this is attributable to their having some local following; however the bulk of the audience seemed to enjoy their turn and although they were on the stage 25 minutes they could have come back and given them more. It is a little coarse and I don't know just what the audience laughed at but it "goes" and I should say that in New York it would be an unqualified hit. 25 min. open full stage, long close in one, 2 shows. Sylvano. Equilibrist. Very nice act although these things never make a hit in Providence. 10 min. full stage, 2 shows. Maxmillian. Boy Violinist. One of the best straight musical acts we have ever had. The boy plays splendidly and has lots of personal magnetism. Will draw money. 5 min. , in 2 , 2 shows. Clifford & Burke. Act is too well known for description. They got away with their stuff in good style, parts of it going very strong. 18 in. in 1, 2 shows. Mr. & Mrs. Gardner CRANE. & Co. Dramatic sketch "A Yankee's Love for Dixie". Of course there is no question as to these people's success here as Mr. Crane was our leading man last summer in stock,-however I hardly think this act equal to their previous offering, still it is quite good. 27 min. full stage, 2 shows. Motion Pictures. An Impracticable Journey. Good trick comedy Czar and His Famiy. Interesting picture of Russian Troups. Down on the Farm. Good comedy chase picture.
