Matthews and Ashley, 2 shows, 20 min. in 1--In their comedy talking specialty, "A Smashup in Chinatown". Rather quick repeat for these people, a little more than three months, but nevertheless they went big. Adelaide Hermann, 2 shows, 36 min. full stage--As "Cleopatra, the Egyptian Soceress". The show had run considerably over time, but nevertheless she held the audience in good shape and they followed her with interest throughout. It is not an act to call for great bursts of applause, but still, to judge by the interest shown today, and from my own observations, I would call it an excellent act of the sort. Kinetograph, 3 shows, 20 min. in 1--Showing the following list of pictures; 1. The Train Wreckers. Good picture and got considerable applause. 2. A Christmas Miracle. Quite a pretty film. Huehn, 3 shows, 12 min. open in 2, close in 1--Playing on bells, etc. Will do very well for the early 3-show section. Comment:- The show is a decidedly poor one, there are too many acts doing practically the same line of work on the bill, and too many more of the sort we like to keep on the shady side of 8.15. We did not strike anything worth while on the program until we got to Hermany's Dogs. The 2-show section contains considerable talk, which I endeavored to break up by putting in an acrobatic act. To my mind, it is the poorest show we have had since summer.
