213 TEMPLE THEATER, DETROIT, MICH., MARCH 12, 1906. WHISTLING TOM BROWNE Browne is almost too well known for criticism. He went quite well in this spot. 12 min. in one. TO-TO. Billed as "The Musical Mystery." This foreign act doesn't amount to much but is worth the money we pay it. 10 min. in 2. EVA WESTCOTT Again presenting "An Episode in Modern Life." Some advance applause. Went quite strong all the way. 19 min. F. S. BOB & GEO. QUIGLEY These men have been repeaters here so often that they patrons almost know their stuff by heart. Very little change in their act. 18 in 1 FRANZ EBERT & CO. Presenting, with Elsie Ebert and Eva Grau the comedietta "Dan Cupid." There is nothing startling about this act but it was well received by the audiences. 23 min. F. S. KATIE BARRY This well known comedienne mad a pronounced hit here going stronger at the evening performance than in the afternoon. In my opinion she will draw considerable business. 15 min. in one. THORNE & CARLETON John T. Thorne and Grace Carleton return here after a long absence, and they proceeded at once to make good with their former many friends. It is a very good comedy act. 20 min. F. S. Can close in one. KITA BANZAI TROUPE A half dozen Japs in barrel spinning, juggling etc. One of the best Jap acts we ever played.
