2. is usually out of taste,-however, this is O.K.- Hawkins would hold down most any place on the bill with the material he has now on hand. MUSICAL AVOLOS, Xylophonists:- 12 min. in 1.- 2 shows. Two men and two women. These people are certainly O.K. in this specialty, and each one of the numbers went immensely. A.1. for this place on the bill. Closed strong. EMMET DEVOY & CO, in "The Saintly Mr. Billings":- 25 min. F.S. 2 shows. In spite of the drunk element of this sketch, it went strong with the crowd to-day. Miss Shone is very pretty and vivacious, and has a charming personality. Devoy is right up the mark in his work. The hits were constant and the close was a perfect scream, owing to the introduction of the colored baby which set up a howl and got the audience wild. The curtain was raised five times at the finish. GRACE CAMERON, Dainty little prima donna:- 13 min. in 1. 2 shows. Has a very pleasing personality and a charming voice. Miss Cameron's selections were very good. She proved herself a favorite here and is all that could be desired for this place on the bill. The "Little Orphant Annie" recitation was well received, and the "Dolly Dimples" song got two encores. She will bring people to the house this week. PESCHKOFFS, Troupe of russian Dancers:- 15 min. F.S. 2 shows. Four women and one man. One of the most beautiful dancing acts ever seen in Vaudeville. It is magnificently gowned, the action is swift and certain, and shows wonderful training. The audience was held in deep interest throughout, and the applause was liberal. This is a splendid feature for this place on bill. HAWTHORNE & BURT, "And I laughed":- 12 min. in 1. 2 shows. Two comedians, one working straight and the other eccentric Jew.- O.K. for this hard spot. Their work is new and clever. Their dancing was especially well received. The comedy "boneless" dancing of the eccentric member got big applause and two recalls. Lines, clean and lively. PEKIN ZOUAVES, Drill Corps:- 13 min. F.S. One of the best closing acts in Vaudeville. The movement is lightning-like, accurate and brilliant in every detail. The applause was very liberal throughout the entire feature. With the patriotic close, (wall-scaling and flag-raising, etc) there was an ovation. This is a very valuable feature for any Vaudeville, bill. KINETOGRAPH: LIFE OF AN AMERICAN POLICEMAN:-Not particularly interesting, as it promises something that might be far better. PIERROT'S REVENGE:-A French series in the fair to good comedy class. FROM CHRISTIANA TO NORTH CAPE:- Travelling pictures which take very well with this house when so well done. HALLO, HALLOO GRINDER:- Rapid French series and O.K. as a closing number. GENERAL REMARKS;-This is, all told, a splendid bill without a single spot that could be called weak. There is abundant comedy and the three-show section is very well provided for. This being Easter Monday, the crowd is absolute capacity to the last standing room of space. It promises a continuation of great business this week.
