Mary Dupont, 2 shows, 19 min. full stage -- Presenting a comedy sketch called "A Leap Year Leap", which is Lillian Burkhart's old piece, "Dropping a Hint", renamed. It always did go big and today was no exception. Malcolm Duncan, supporting Miss Dupont, is capital in the character. Four Mortons, 2 shows, 26 min. open in 1, close full stage -- First act to receive advance applause, and they went quite strong all through, but no better than several other acts on the bill. It is a rather singular fact that Boston audiences do not enthuse over Clara Morton, who is an unusually clever comedienne, artistic in everything she does. Elmer Tenley, 2 shows, 16 min. in 1 -- Monologue comedian who made good in this awful stiff place in the bill, getting and holding his audience throughout. Most of his material is new and it is all immensely funny. He is a hit, so far as Boston is concerned, at least. Jules and Ella Garrison, 2 shows, 23 min. full stage -- In their new burlesque, "An Ancient Roman", which is not nearly so clever as their previous vehicle. Of course, it was preceded by a tremendous amount of laughing material, but even with that handicap it should have gone stronger than it did. Will transpose them with "High Jinks" in the evening show. Biograph, 3 shows, 20 min. in 1 -- Showing the following list of pictures: 1. The Chicken Thief. Fairly interesting and in spots amusing, but cannot compare with previous comedy films we have exhibited. 2. August, the Monkey. Mirth-provoking and interesting picture; a big with the juveniles. 3. Soap Bubbles. A film that will prove interesting and amusing with the juveniles. Brothers Morel, 2 shows, 9 min. full stage -- This is really the team of Dave Coture and Charles Gillett, whom I put in to fill out necessary time, in addition to their work in "High Jinks". It is a fairly clever act. Comment - The show is an excellent one, the comedy, especially, being exceptionally good and lots of it. The audience was even larger than that of last week, everything being shut off up and down stairs, and they laughed and applauded like wile people. There is no fear but that it will continue. The Four Mortons were not the hit of the show by a jugful, notwithstanding they were featured in all the billing for two weeks. -----o-----
