74 CRITICISM CLEVELAND SHOW, Jan. 30th, 1905. LATINA, Contortionist. This lady is doing her contortion act this week, and is a very good act. Owing to Treloar being on the same bill, I am opening the show with her. Time 10 minutes full stage. ORPHEUS COMEDY FOUR, "In 15 Minutes of Mirthful Riot". This act is going fairly well, though I don't call it a good act by any means. There is nothing to the comedy, neither are they very good singers. However, the audiences seem to like them, which is sufficient. Time, 15 minutes full stage. A. O. DUNCAN, Ventriloquist. This man's got a lot of good, bright stuff and is going as good as any of the ventriloquists I've played. He keeps his talking up-to-date, and seems to localize it wherever he goes, which, of course, always makes a big hit. He's doing 18 minutes, with 4 minutes in one. TRELOAR, assisted by EDNA TEMPEST. This is a good act. Treloar's exhibition of muscular development is very good. He does some heavy weight lifting, which is nothing extraordinary. Miss Tempest doesn't do very much, though she helps to dress up the act a little. Time 10 minutes full stage. CLAYTON WHITE, MARIE STUART & CO. in their one-act comedy "Paris". This act is familiar with every house and needs no comment. Going as big as ever. Time 30 minutes full stage. MISS GRACE CAMERON. This woman is one of the few of the singers that really make good. She sings four songs, and has four distinct changes. Of course, her "Dolly Dimples" song is the best thing she does, and is a big hit. Time 17 minutes in one. CHAS. F. SEMON, Musical Artist. This is the Semon that was formerly with Falke. His act is as good alone as it was when they were together. He makes them laugh with his talking and his playing on the instruments is also good. He opens and closes in one. Time 18 minutes. SUGIMOTO ROYAL JAPANESE TROUPE. This is without doubt the best of all the Jap acts I've ever played. It is an act bounding in contortion, dexterity and strength. They do more sensational stuff than any act I've ever seen. One little boy in it, particularly, is the greatest ever. It is an act that at present will create more talk than any acrobatic act in vaudeville. Time 20 minutes full stage. BIOGRAPH. I am using three films this week entitled "Chums", "Bold Burglars" and "Norwegian Ski Jumpers" all three fairly good films. However, my pictures for the last two weeks have not been as good as usual. The show in general this week is extraordinarily good, and if the weather continues favorable, will likely do a good week's business. L. M. EIRICK.
