86 PHILADELPHIA SHOW, FEB. 13TH'05. H. A. DANIELS. LATINA-AR-3-Contortionist. Well known act. Very good for three show division. 9 mins. Black Art Drop in 2. BARRY & WILSON-NH-3-Two men, singing, dancing and jokes. The dancing carries the act. The talk amounts to nothing. Dancing was applauded. Good three show act. Cut out: "You're a fool." 11 mins. in one. FRASER TRIO-GRR-3-Two men and one woman. Open with highland fling in costume, then sailor's hornpipe, and others. Good sight act for the early show. 13 mins. Gar. in 4. Close in one. SHUNGOPAVI-AR-3-Moki Indian. Monologue and songs. His talk is interesting, and his magic not at all bad. Was listened to and watched intently throughout. Good three show act, and will always go in the better class houses, where educated audiences can be found. 18 mins. Spec. Drop in 2. WILLIAMS & SLATER-KR-3-Two men, real coons, singing, dancing and a little talk. A good, lively three show act. Comedy not bad. 13 mins. in one. WOODFORD'S ANIMALS-GHR-3-Ponies, monkeys and dogs. A very good three show act. Especially interesting to the children. 18 mins. Gar. in 5. AL FIELDS-GNH-2-Of Fields & Ward, working alone. Monologue. Had some new stuff, some of which was good. Finished very strong. Cut out: "Not by a damn sight." 16 mins. in one. JIU JITSU-MRR-2-A demonstration of the Japanese art of self-defense by four Japanese and a Japanese lecturer, who also works. A great drawing card here and a mighty good act. A real novelty, and a very interesting act. 13 mins. Spec. Drop in 4. MISSES DELMORE-GYH-2-Vocalists and instrumentalists. Music is better than the singing. Not an exceptionally strong act, but all right for the early two show bill. Finished quite well to-day. Good act for this house. 17 mins. in one. CHAS. T. ALDRICH-MRR-2-Presenting his well known act of quick changes, burlesque Chinese magic and tramp juggling. Went much better than on previous visits. Has a few new things in the act. Very good. 20 mins. Special Drop in 3. ELIZABETH MURRAY-GNH-2-Songs and stories. A local favorite here, this being her home city. Always goes well here, for she has a large circle of friends. 13 mins. in one. EIGHT ENGLISH GIRLS-MHR-2-Enter dressed in short black skirts and do a lively song and dance. Then six appear in a tambourine and acrobatic dance. Then two appear in an Irish dance and costume. (This directly conflicts with the Fraser Trio.) Then six appear in the "radium dance"--white costumes treated with phosphorus. This did not amount to much, and hardly received a hand. The act will change places with Jiu Jitsu. A good billing novelty, and that lets it out. 11 mins. Gar. in 5. However, the regular patrons may overlook this defect for full value is given for the money.
