108 CRITICISM: NEW YORK SHOW: MARCH 6th, 1905: LAWRENCE CRANE:- Irish comedy magician: He remains the same as when presented here before. Always a good opening number. 15 minutes, own drop 1, 3 shows. THE NOLES:- Man and woman in a talking, singing and dancing act. A little tame on the start; received some laughs; material a little old; made good, however, in this place. Drop 1, 16 minutes, 3 shows. MLLE. LATINA:- Contortionist. Well known. Very attractive number; excellent for the three-a-day. Drop 2, 11 Mins. 3 sh NORCROSS, BLAIN & LAMAR:- Three men; blackface, giving an old time minstrel performance, using their drop representing a big organization. The act is excellent for an early place. Their material although old was well received they secured many laughs and it is a very acceptable three a day act. Drop in one, twenty-five minutes, 3 shows. TROBA:- Juggler and strong man. Well known. Not a "Spadoni" by any means. Received a big lot of applause. Full stage, 15 minutes, 2 shows. CHAS. MILDARE:- Whistler and imitator. This man became very popular after he had whistled one selection. His imitations went big, and he carried off part honors of the show. Drop 1, 10 minutes, 2 shows. STANLEY & BROCKMAN:- Two men in a singing, talking and dancing sketch. The act is well known and a description is not necessary. They made them laugh during the entire act, as a big amount of new material prevails. Full stage, 14 minutes, made them close in 1, 2 mins. 2 shows. LeROY & CLAYTON:- Presenting the sketch "A Horse on Hogan". This is the third time for this comedy, and it is safe to say they secured more laughs than my big feature. Full stage, 22 minutes, 2 shows. MARION GARSON:- A very young girl. Pleasing personality, who fortunately possesses a sweet and well trained voice. Her selections are excellent. Every number strongly applauded. 10 minutes in one, 2 shows. EDDIE FOY & CO:- The company consists of Eddie Foy, two women and a man in the comedy sketch "The Man Behind the Gun", which gives Foy an opportunity to display his peculiar comedy. The act is quick in action, and they secure scattered laughs throughout. He does about 7 minutes in one, singing parodies with a little dancing. Without Foy in the act it would fall flat. He received some advance applause. 20 minutes, full stage, 2 shows. NOTE:--- The show is good and fairly well balanced. The matinee was a trifle larger than usual, due to Eddie Foy, who will prove a drawing card. The audience was more enthusiastic than usual, and every number was favorably received. S.K. HODGDON.
