114 GRAND OPERA HOUSE WEEK COMMENCING MARCH 6TH., 1905. PITTSBURG, PA. MC'CREE AND POOL-10 min., shooting act, full stage, woods. This is a very good shooting act, the shooting being the best i have ever seen. While the shooting is very good the men act very much like amateurs. However, it is a very good act for three a day section. R. J. JOSE-9 min. in one. Mr. Jose is in very bad shape this week having a very bad cold. He has been compelled to lay off several performances and may not be able to continue this week. He could only sing two songs on Monday and they did not go very well on account of his condition. C.W. LITTLEFIELD-14 min., olio in one. This act is too well known to need any criticism. It is going very good with us. GALLAGHER AND BARRETT-18 min. in three, fancy, close in one, three min. This is a singing and dancing act and goes very good here. It is away from other talking acts. this is the second time we have played them and I consider it an act much above the average. LEWIS MC'CORD AND CO.-18 min. bare stage. This act is well known to every one in the circuit. I do not think we want to repeat this sketch. This is the third appearance here and each time he has brought us the same sketch with a very bad Romeo. I think Mr. Mc'Cord would be very much better if he would spend a little more money for the male member of his company. He is about the worst I ever saw on any stage. SEARL AND VIOLET ALLEN-18 min. in one, talking and dancing. This is a comedy skit entitled the Sign Painter and is going very very good with us. The talking in the act is somewhat different from that which we are used to hearing and the dancing is very good. The act as a whole pleases very much. PAPINTA-14 min. special setting, in her original dancing. Papinta is going very big with us and I think that her act is even better than ever. She is very painstaking and deserves a great deal of credit for her act. MILES STAVORDALE QUARTETTE-12 min. in one, entitled "Songs without Singers". This is a musical act introducing harp and four banjos and is going very big with us. We consider this a very good act. BEDINA AND ARTHUR-18 min. in three, garden. This is the second appearance of this act this season at this house and they are going very well. The juggling of Mr. Bedina is very good and the comedy of Arthur is fine. LEW SULLY-18 min. in one, monologue and singing. Mr. Sully is going very well with us and fully as good as on his last appearance. He is too well known on the circuit to need any further criticism. SUGIMOTO JAPS-14 min. full stage, garden. This is one of the best Jap acts that we have ever played. this is going very big with us and it is away from other Jap acts. NESSEN AND NESSEN-14 min. three a day. This is a very fair act for three a day section. CONTURE AND GILLETTE-Comedy acrobats. This act is above the ordinary acrobats doing three shows a day. Kinetograph-Surrender of Port Arthur. There is not much to this picture excepting the advertising feature. J.P. HARRIS.
