131 Report on show, Keith's Theatre, Providence, R. I., week of March 27, 1905. (Chas. Lovenberg, Manager.) The show this week is hardly up to what we have been giving and it is one of those bills that it is almost impossible to arrange satisfactory. The arrangement I had this afternoon didn't suit me at all and I shall play it tonight as below:--The show seems to contain too much talking and two blackface acts make it a little bit hard also-to arrange just right. Ellen Richards. Wire walker. Very nice little act indeed from the three a day standpoint. 10 min. full stage. Herbert & Ford. Magician and comedian. I don't think we ever played anything worse than this act as it was presented this afternoon. The comedian was so atrocious that I closed the comedian out entirely: allowed the magician to stay as the work which he did seemed to be pretty fair and I think he will get by, in an early place; probably will do about 12 min. in one. They did 22 min. this afternoon, three shows. Estelle Wordette & Co. In "A Honeymoon In The Catskills". very good act from the three a day standpoint. 17 min. in 3 V. P. Woodward. Tambourine spinner. Something of a novelty and from the salary and number of shows is all right. 10 min. in one, 3 shows. Wm. H. Windom. If this man were getting about $75.00 and doing three shows a day, I would call it a good act. He can have no other rating in my mind: as it is he is very bad indeed, money considered. I had him in an important place on the bill and he came near "crabbing" the show. 18 min. in one, 2 shows.
