134 TEMPLE THEATER. Detroit, Mich., March 27, 1905. Criticized by J. H. Finn. KARTELLI- This man is, perhaps, the best wire expert in vaudeville, and although he opened our bill he went very strong. About 7 min. in 3. LeROY & WOODFORD This is an excellent talking act, the male member of the team being away above the average. They went strong for 17 min. in one. MLLE MARTHA- This handsome French woman has all female trapezists beaten to a frazzle. Her work on the rope is marvelous, and for 11 minutes she has everyone spell bound. MISS ROSE STAHL. This woman and her company presented "The Chorus Lady." Both the actress and the sketch are gems of the first water, and I cannot recall any actress who pleased as well as she. The sketch runs about 26 minutes and for the star there is tremendous interest. GRACE CAMERON- This brilliant from the "Piff, Paff, Pouf" setting made a great hit, perhaps the greatest hit every scored by one of her kind at the theater. She sang "Dolly Dimples" and was scored half a dozen encores. Normally she takes about 14 minutes. STALEY & BIRBECK This act is almost too well known for comment. Suffice it to say that it is the greatest transformation act ever produces in vaudeville. The change was made from the blacksmith shop to the parlor and back to the blacksmith shop without a hitch. LEE HARRISON- This well known musical-comedy comedian has an excellent delivery and would be a great acquisition to vaudeville should he purchase good material. He took about 13 minutes in one. SIX GLINSERETTIS- This is one of the greatest acrobatic acts in vaudeville, but they could do without the bounding table as artificiality detracts from the act.
