REPORT OF SHEA'S SHOW, WEEK OF APRIL 3RD

MARCUS & GARTELLE. A very good opening act or could even go second or third on the bill. Their finish on roller skates is extremely funny and makes a big hit with the audience, full stage, close in one 14 minutes.
HAL GODFREY & CO. in a sketch by Edmund Day called "The Liar." This is an exceptionally good comedy sketch, full of laughs and would be evn [even] better if it was third or fourth on the bill, full stage 25 minutes.
MADDOX & PROUTY. This is only a fair talking act and does not seem to catch on with the audience until very near the close, all in one 18 minutes.
DIDA, or the creation of a woman out of nothing. This is probably the best illusion we have ever played and will draw a lot of money during the week, sets people to talking at once, full stage 5 minutes.
HILL & WHITAKER. This act always more than makes good here and is one of the best singing acts we play, all in one 17 minutes.
BERT LESLIE & BOB DAILEY & CO. This is one of the greatest comedy sketches we ever had. The way that Leslie hands out slang is a treat. There is nothing rough about him and nothing the best refined person could complain of but his slang is a perfect marvel and his manner of delivering it great. This act could close any show and hold the people, full stage 20 minutes.
ITALIAN TRIO. One of the very best singing acts we have ever played, all in one 16 minutes.
THE DUFFIN REDCAY TROUPE, a great casting act, full stage 14 minutes.
