169 TEMPLE THEATER DETROIT, MICH., MAY 1, 1905. J. K. Finn-Critic. JOHNSON & WELLS- Colored singers and dancers. They compare favorably with the various other colored singing and dancing teams. 13 min. F. S. Close in one. TERLEY- An alleged illusion in which Terley impersonates several characters. This act is not worth the money we are paying it. 9 min. F. S. DICK LYNCH- In burlesque ballads, monologue and dancing. This is only a fair act, the dancing being the feature. 17 min. in one. THREE MAREENAS- This is an excellent comedy-acrobatic act and compares favorably with the best of these acts now in vaudeville. 10 min. F. S. LOUISE BREHANY- Miss Brehany is going a great deal better than on the occasion of her last visit. She has a better selection of songs. 10 min. in one. HERBERT KELCEY & EFFIE SHANNON- Presenting "Journeys End in Lovers Meeting." This is a clever little play and was cleverly acted, particularly on the part of Miss Shannon. I am doubtful as to whether Mr. Kelcey and Miss Shannon will draw very much money for they were never top-notch favorites in Detroit. 20 min. F. S GEORGE W. MONROE- This comedian returns to us with exactly the same stuff he has been using for several seasons, but he gets the laughs just the same. 22 in 1. HARRY HOWARD'S PONIES & DOGS- This is only a fair animal act. He has five Shetland ponies and about the same number of dogs. 19 min. F. S. N. B. The bill as a whole is only fair and does not compare with the bill of last week when we had at least three acts that could be entitled to headline honors.
