189 NEW YORK CRITICISM JUNE 5th, 1905. Geo. Hussey This man's ventriloquial work is good, his material is very bad, he has secured some of A.O. Duncan's act with one of Troyollo's figures. Secured a few laughs and just about passes in this place. Twelve minutes, full stage, three shows. Gilday & Fox Hebrew Impersonators. They carry their own drop to represent the [illegible] of the "Morris Park Race Track". The best part of their act pertains to the races and goes pretty fair here, but I imagine it would be foreign in the houses. The act is alright for an early place. Three show, thirteen minutes in one. Bailey & Fletcher Two men "real coon" singers and dancers. They received the first applause of the day, getting a good hand on Fletcher's dancing. Sixteen minutes in one. Mr. & Mrs. Fred. Lucier In a musical yankee comedy, entitled "A Rustic Romeo" with mandolin and violin playing. The woman makes a good appearance and is a fair singer and dancer. The act is rather refined. Lucier made quite a hit with his violin imitations. Full stage, fifteen minutes, three shows. Dudley & Cheslyn Man and woman, vocalists. Woman received some applause for her negro songs. The act is well known over the circuit and always makes good here. Ten minutes in one, three shows. Arthur and Mildred Boylen & Co Woman and two children, boy and girl, 12 and 14 years in a dainty little playette, entitled "Jack & Jill" The children are clean cut little youngsters, with good delivery and the mannerisms of older performers. The act is entensely interesting throughout, with several good laughs and closes with a very clever acrobatis number by the children, which received the biggest lot of applause up to this time. The children are the clever est child performers we ever had. they received two curtain calls at the finish, with three to-night. At the price the act is the best we have ever had and should be booked for the circuit with return engagements. Full stage, two shows, twenty-four minutes. Louis Wesley The jury could'nt see this man this afternoon. His material is alright, but he is getting entirely too much money, one hundred would be about right. Thirteen in one, two shows. Paulton & Dooley Two men, comedy cyclists. One working straight and the other eccentric, good act. Received a lot of applaus Nine minutes, full stage. Biograph The Suit of Armor Fair comedy. A London Suburbanite's Unlucky Day Good The Flower Harvest Good Photographically The Burglar's Slice for life Novel-good. (Visible on the side of the page from underneath: Lou... Clay... Geo. Keno, )
