199 (F. J. O'Connor) Boston Show, Week of June 12, 1905 Fadettes, 2 shows, 60 min. full stage--Complete change of selections. Just as well as ever. Every selection was enthusiastically encored. Gilday and Fox, 3 shows, 12 min. in 1--Two men in singing, talking and dancing sketch, "The Hebrew Trainer and the Jockey". Their singing and talk does not amount to much for this house but they got them on their dancing and went off to considerable applause. Will move them down after the biograph. Susie Fisher, 3 shows, 12 min. in 1--Pleasing baritone vocalist. Went about as well as the average straight singer does in this house. Paulton and Dooley, 2 shows, 9 min. full stage--Trick and comedy bicyclists. Well-known on the circuit. Big applause and laughing hit all through. Louise Wesley, 2 shows, 14 min. in 1--Eccentric comedian, vocalist and dancer. First time here. His vocalism does not amount to much but his dancing went very well. He seems to have the material but I do not care much for his way of presenting it. Fair amount of applause at the finish. McIntyre and Heath, 2 shows, 38 min. full stage--Presenting "The Man from Montana". Usual scream from start to finish. If any criticism were possible, it is perhaps a bit too long. Paul Barnes, 2 shows, 11 min. in 1--Well-known monologue comedian and parody singer. Had considerable newmaterial and went quite well in this most difficult spot in the bill. The Avolos, 2 shows, 10 min. in 1--Quartet of expert xylophone players. One of the best acts of this sort we play. Their second selection from "William Tell" got quite an ovation. It is a good act for any time in this house. Four Lukens, 2 shows, 9 min. full stage--Aerial acrobats, introducing double mid-air casting. First appearance here in two years. They are unquestiojably the best in their line that play this house. Great applause all through the act. Biograph, 3 shows, 20 min. in 1--Showing the following list of motion pictures: 1. Russia's Nemesis. Quite interesting at this time. 2. The Teacher's Unexpected Bath. Fair. 3. A Might Industry. Interesting 4. The British Zouaves. Fair 5. Trained Baby Elephant Interesting for children 6. Opening of the New Cathedral. Quite an interesting film (under page) ...barrel jumpers and acrobats. Their bicycle riding is killed by Paulton and Dooley. Their acrobatic work and barrel jumping is quite clever. All in all it makes a good 3-1-day act. Comments:- The show as a whole is a very good one and with some rearrangement with be all right. Owing to the fact that I needed a small amount of time for the supper show, I booked Hoyt and Burke. It rained hard all day and we had a capacity audience this afternoon.
