203 PHILADELPHIA SHOW, JUNE 26TH'05. H. T. JORDAN J. WARREN KEANE-AR-3-Magician and card manipulator. Well known on the circuit. Has one or two new tricks. Good for the early bill. 12 mins. C.D.F. in 2. Close in one. THREE DELTON BROS.-3-Hand balancers, all working straight. While they do nothing new, they work well together, and pleased. Good three-a-day act. 12 mins. Garden in 3. BARRY & WOLFORD-NH-3-Man and woman, parodies and cross-fire talking act. The first laugh of the afternoon. Went very well. Good act at this hour. 17 mins. in one. WILL ROGERS-GYH-3-Lasso manipulator. This fellow is a crack-a-jack, and gives a better act than the Chamberlins. Uses a cow-pony and a cowboy assistant. He's a typical westerner, and his remarks when he misses a trick are very funny. All his tricks were applauded and he closed very strong. Very good act. 13 mins. Water landscape in 4. TOM MOORE-AR-3-Coon shouter. Plays the circuit frequently. Sang three songs to liberal applause. 12 mins. in one. THREE HICKMAN BROS.-GHR-2-Eccentric comedy act. One straight, two character. Good lively act for the early two show section. Went well. 15 mins. C.D.F. in 3. Close in one. EMMA FRANCIS & ARABS-YHR-2-Miss Francis and two Arab boys. A good combination dancing and acrobatic act. The opening song was rather weak; but Miss Francis caught on with her closing dance, and the act finished quite strong. Arabs should do more tumbling. 10 mins. Palace in 4. HERBERT LLOYD-GNH-2-Lloyd gave us a bunch of nonsense on the order of W. C. Fields, but hardly in the same class. Act is little improved since last here. As Lloyd is a local boy he will draw some business. Only went fair at matinee, but will do better at night. Good act. 14 mins. Landscape in 4. Close in one. MAY VOKES & CO.-MRR-2- Miss Vokes is supported by Neil McCay, in a sketch, entitled "The Model Maid." The play is not much, but as a vehicle to introduce the well known and artistic character work of Miss Vokes it will serve. She does a "slavey" on the order of the part she played in "Checkers." McCay works straight and introduces a song and a little piano playing. The act received a little advance applause, and caused quite a lot of laughs throughout. Closed rather weak, but may go better to-night. 20 mins. C.D.F. in 3. FOUR AVOLOS-YRR-Two men and two women, in one of the best musical acts we play. The act is well dressed, selections well chosen and well played. Liberal applause of each number and a big hand at finish. 12 mins. in one. CHAS. GUYER & NELLIE O'NEIL-MHR-2-These people gave us practically the same act that was done by Guyer and Daly. Personally I think Nellie O'Neil gives strength. They are both artists in their line, and pleased our audience greatly. Finished very strong. 12 mins. C.D.F. 3. PHILADELPHIA SHOW, JUNE 26TH'05. 2. H. T. JORDAN. HOEY & LEE-GNH-2-Two men, Hebrew makeup. These boys were on late and had a very hard spot. They made more than good with their parodies, however, and showed much improvement since last here. Very good act. 15 mins. in one. McPHEE & HILL-GHR-2-Two men, in a combination bar and casting act. Both are good performers, and the novelty of the casting apparatus caught our audience. Good closing act for us. 10 mins. Gar. in 4. BIOGRAPH--THE MINERS' LOT, Pictorial story of the every day life of the miners. Foreign film. Interesting to our audience. Very good. THE INSOLENT GUEST, a fair comedy picture.
